We enjoy taking small trips and experiencing new places during our downtime. A while back we visited Ajuy Fuerteventura.

Overview of Ajuy

Ajuy Fuerteventura shops
You can find small, local, and cute shops, as well as restaurants in Ajuy.

Ajuy is a small and beautiful coastal town.

Known for its black sand beaches, crystal-clear waters, and stunning cliffs, Ajuy is the perfect destination for a relaxing holiday.

Furthermore, Ajuy is placed on the other side of the island’s southwestern coast. It’s mostly away from the major tourist centres but people flock to it from all over the island.

We still managed to experience more of a quiet vibe there – even amongst all the sightseers.

Getting to Ajuy

If the bus and car won’t work for You – can always use a baby stroller…But not the recommended way of transportation…

Once on the island, You can rent a car to get to Ajuy or take advantage of the public bus system.

It’s about a 40-minute drive from the island’s capital, Puerto del Rosario. If You are going straight from the airport – it might add 5-10 minutes to Your trip.
